Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Access: read-only

Description: IP address of this Subscriber Unit. If the Subscriber Unit has no IP address assigned, or the IP address is unknown, this object returns a value of 0.0.0.0. If the Subscriber Unit has multiple IP addresses, this object returns the IP address associated with the Wireless interface. Each SU has only one wireless MAC interface.

What is cwdIfHeSuStatusIpAddress?

This read-only object reports the IP address of the subscriber unit's wireless interface as seen by the headend, returning 0.0.0.0 if the SU has no IP address assigned or it is unknown. Admins use it to correlate a wireless MAC-layer entry with the corresponding IP-layer identity of the device for further troubleshooting. For example, an admin wanting to ping or traceroute a specific subscriber unit from the network side would read cwdIfHeSuStatusIpAddress to get its current address.
