Description: At the HE, the operational transmit power. At the SU, the received power level. May be set to zero at the SU if power level measurement is not supported. If the interface is down, this object returns the configured value (if at HE), the most current value (if at SU) or zero (if not supported by the implementation).

What is cwdIfDownChannelPower?

This read-write value represents, at the headend, the operational transmit power for this downstream channel, or at the subscriber unit, the received power level, expressed in dBm, and may read zero at the SU if power measurement isn't supported. Admins use it to verify transmit levels at the HE or received signal strength at the SU, both important for link quality. For example, an SU reporting an unexpectedly low cwdIfDownChannelPower compared to the HE's configured transmit power would suggest excessive path loss or an obstruction between the HE and that subscriber.
