cwdIfDownChannelModProfileIndex

Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-DOCS-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-DOCS-IF-MIB::cwdIfDownChannelModProfileIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.167.1.1.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: An index into cwdIfModulationTable that describes modulation characteristics of this channel. This object returns 0 if the cwdIfModulationTable does not exist, or there is no corresponding row in that table that describes modulation characteristics of this channel.

What is cwdIfDownChannelModProfileIndex?

This read-write value is an index into cwdIfModulationTable identifying the modulation profile applied to this downstream channel, returning 0 if that table doesn't exist or has no matching row. Admins set this to control which modulation scheme, and therefore which throughput and robustness trade-off, is used on this channel. For example, an admin wanting a downstream channel to use a higher-throughput modulation profile would point cwdIfDownChannelModProfileIndex at the row in cwdIfModulationTable defining that profile.
