OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-RTP-CONN-MIB::vismRtpLocPort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.150.20.1.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: This object determines the static local RTP port (UDP) that this connection is using. Only even numbers are allowed as odd numbers are used for RTCP(Real-time transport control protocol) port. The local RTP port has to be unique as only one connection is allowed per port.

What is vismRtpLocPort?

This object configures the static local RTP (UDP) port that the connection uses, restricted to even numbers since odd numbers in that range are reserved for the paired RTCP port, and it must be unique because only one connection is allowed per port. An administrator provisioning a VoIP gateway connection uses this to assign a dedicated media port, ensuring it does not collide with a port already in use by another RTP connection. For example, an administrator would assign port 49650 to one connection and a different even port, such as 49652, to the next connection to avoid a port conflict.
