Module: CISCO-WAN-ATM-CONN-STAT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-ATM-CONN-STAT-MIB::cwacsHighIngRcvCLP0

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.150.2.1.1.1.1.45

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of valid CLP=0 ATM cells in the ingress direction of this Channel PRIOR to the traffic management entity. This counter carries upper 32-bits of cwacsHCIngRcvCLP0. The lower 32-bits will be present in cwacsIngRcvCLP0.

What is cwacsHighIngRcvCLP0?

This read-only counter holds the upper 32 bits of the 64-bit ingress CLP=0 pre-policing cell count (cwacsHCIngRcvCLP0), with the lower 32 bits available separately in cwacsIngRcvCLP0. An admin or management system combines this high-order counter with its low-order counterpart to reconstruct the full 64-bit count on a high-speed channel, avoiding the wraparound problems a 32-bit-only counter would have under heavy sustained traffic. For example, on a busy trunk where the 32-bit ingress CLP=0 counter would wrap around multiple times per day, a monitoring system reads this high-order value together with the low-order counter to track the true cumulative cell count without losing accuracy to overflow.
