Module: CISCO-WAN-ATM-CONN-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-ATM-CONN-MIB::cwaChanTestDir
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.150.1.1.3.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CiscoWanLpbkDir
Access: read-write
Description: Specifies the direction in which loopback should be effected:
This is a mandatory object.
* For destructive loopback, this takes values external (1) and internal (2). * For non-destructive loopback, this takes values forward (3) and reverse (4). * When cwaChanTestType is noLpbk (1), this object is ignored.
What is cwaChanTestDir?
This read-write value specifies the direction, external or internal for destructive loopback, or forward or reverse for non-destructive loopback, in which the loopback configured via cwaChanTestType should be applied, and this object is ignored when no loopback is active. An admin sets this together with the test type to precisely control which part of the connection path is being tested, since destructive and non-destructive loopbacks use different direction terminology. For example, to test the connection without disrupting live traffic, the admin would pair a non-destructive test type with a forward or reverse direction here rather than the external/internal options reserved for destructive tests.
