This read-only value reports the number of VCCs, Virtual Channel Connections, currently in an alarm state, and like its VPC counterpart is intended only for use within traps and notifications. An admin uses this count, delivered as part of an alarm notification, to quickly gauge how many individual virtual channels are affected by a given fault without polling each connection separately. For example, alongside cwaChanNumVPCsInAlarm in the same trap, this VCC count helps the admin judge whether an outage is affecting a handful of channels or a large swath of traffic on the switch.
