OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-ATM-CONN-MIB::cwaChanExtAbrVSVD

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.150.1.1.1.1.1.50

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CiscoWanVSVDConfg

Access: read-create

Description: This object is used for enabling/disabling VSVD external to the segment which hosts the two endpoints of the SPVC i.e the closed loop control will be in effect outside the segment either towards a CPE or towards another segment.

What is cwaChanExtAbrVSVD?

This read-create value configures VSVD closed-loop control external to the segment hosting this connection's two endpoints, meaning the loop control extends toward a CPE or toward another network segment beyond this switch. An admin uses this to extend congestion feedback control beyond the local segment when the ABR connection continues onward to customer equipment or another network segment, complementing the internal VSVD setting. For example, on a multi-segment ABR connection where congestion control needs to reach all the way to the customer's edge device, the admin would enable this external VSVD setting in addition to the internal one.
