What is cwaChanAbrERS?
This object configures Explicit Rate Stamping (a fairness mechanism in Asynchronous Transfer Mode networks) for a virtual channel using Available Bit Rate (ABR) traffic management. ABR dynamically adjusts the transmission rate of data traffic based on real-time network congestion feedback, and ERS allows switches to explicitly stamp the maximum allowed rate into cell headers. Network engineers use this setting on ATM connections to implement traffic management policies that prevent any single connection from monopolizing the shared medium.
