vtpVlanEditTranslationalVlan2

Module: CISCO-VTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VTP-MIB::vtpVlanEditTranslationalVlan2

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.46.1.4.2.1.13

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: VlanIndex

Access: read-create

Description: Another VLAN, i.e., other than that indicated by vtpVlanEditTranslationalVlan1, to which this VLAN would be translational-bridged. If this value and the corresponding instance of vtpVlanTranslationalVlan1 are both zero, then this VLAN would not be translational-bridged.

An implementation may restrict access to this object.

What is vtpVlanEditTranslationalVlan2?

This read-create object stages a second VLAN, distinct from vtpVlanEditTranslationalVlan1, that a VLAN would be translational-bridged to once the edit buffer is applied. An administrator would use this alongside the first translational VLAN object when a staged VLAN needs to bridge to two different VLANs of differing media types simultaneously. For example, an admin bridging a legacy VLAN to both an Ethernet and an FDDI VLAN would configure one via vtpVlanEditTranslationalVlan1 and the other via this object before applying.
