Description: The management station which is currently using the Edit Buffer for this management domain. When the Edit Buffer for a management domain is not currently in use, the value of this object is the zero-length string. Note that it is also the zero-length string if a manager fails to set this object when invoking a copy operation.

What is vtpVlanEditBufferOwner?

This read-create string identifies which management station currently holds the VLAN edit buffer for a given management domain, reading as an empty string when the buffer is not in use. An administrator or management application sets this when invoking a copy operation to claim ownership of the edit buffer, preventing another manager from stepping on in-progress VLAN edits. For example, if vtpVlanEditBufferOwner shows another station's identifier, an admin knows someone else already has the edit buffer checked out and should wait before staging their own VLAN changes.
