This read-only string reports the unique device identifier of a VTP member found during discovery. An administrator uses this identifier to definitively pin down exactly which physical device a given discovery result row corresponds to, independent of its IP address or hostname which could change. For example, if a switch is later replaced but keeps the same hostname, comparing vtpDiscoverResultDeviceId across discovery runs would reveal the underlying device actually changed.
