This read-write TruthValue object lets an administrator enable or disable VTP participation on a specific trunk interface module independently of the central device's VTP configuration, on modules that support such separate control; modules lacking this capability always report true and reject any attempt to set a different value. An administrator uses this on modular switches to isolate a particular line card's VTP behavior from the rest of the chassis when needed. For example, disabling vlanTrunkPortVtpEnabled on one module while leaving VTP enabled chassis-wide keeps that module's trunk ports from processing VTP advertisements even though the rest of the switch still does.
