vlanTrunkPortVlansRcvJoined3k

Module: CISCO-VTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VTP-MIB::vlanTrunkPortVlansRcvJoined3k

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.46.1.6.1.1.27

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: A string of octets containing one bit per VLAN for VLANS with VlanIndex values of 2048 through 3071 in the management domain on this trunk port. The first octet corresponds to VLANs with VlanIndex values of 2048 through 2055; the second octet to VLANs 2056 through 2063; etc. The most significant bit of each octet corresponds to the lowest value VlanIndex in that octet.

If the bit corresponding to a VLAN is set to '1', then the local switch is currently sending joins for this VLAN on this trunk port, i.e., it is asking to receive frames for this VLAN; if the bit is set to '0', then the local switch is not currently sending joins for this VLAN on this trunk port.

What is vlanTrunkPortVlansRcvJoined3k?

This read-only bitmap reports which VLANs in the 2048-through-3071 range this local switch is currently sending VTP join messages for on a specific trunk port, extending vlanTrunkPortVlansRcvJoined into that higher VLAN ID range. An administrator uses this to verify local pruning-related join signaling for higher-numbered VLANs on a given trunk. For example, a set bit here for a VLAN in that range confirms the local switch is actively requesting that VLAN's traffic over the trunk.
