vlanTrunkPortVlansEnabled3k

Module: CISCO-VTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VTP-MIB::vlanTrunkPortVlansEnabled3k

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.46.1.6.1.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-create

Description: A string of octets containing one bit per VLAN for VLANS with VlanIndex values of 2048 through 3071 in the management domain on this trunk port. The first octet corresponds to VLANs with VlanIndex values of 2048 through 2055; the second octet to VLANs 2056 through 2063; etc. The most significant bit of each octet corresponds to the lowest value VlanIndex in that octet. If the bit corresponding to a VLAN is set to '1', then the local system is enabled for sending and receiving frames on that VLAN; if the bit is set to '0', then the system is disabled from sending and receiving frames on that VLAN. The default value is zero length string.

To avoid conflicts between overlapping partial updates by multiple managers, i.e., updates which modify only a portion of an instance of this object (e.g., enable/disable a single VLAN on the trunk port), any SNMP Set operation accessing an instance of this object should also write the value of vlanTrunkPortSetSerialNo.

What is vlanTrunkPortVlansEnabled3k?

This read-create bitmap extends VLAN-enabled configuration on a trunk port to cover the higher VLAN ID range of 2048 through 3071, one bit per VLAN, complementing the base vlanTrunkPortVlansEnabled object which typically only covers lower VLAN IDs. An administrator uses this to permit or restrict specific VLANs within that higher ID range from being carried on a given trunk port. For example, enabling the bit for VLAN 2500 in vlanTrunkPortVlansEnabled3k allows that specific higher-numbered VLAN's traffic across the trunk, while leaving other bits in that range cleared keeps their VLANs off the trunk.
