Description: The VlanIndex of the VLAN which is represented by native frames on this trunk port. For trunk ports not supporting the sending and receiving of native frames, this value should be set to zero.

What is vlanTrunkPortNativeVlan?

This read-create object identifies which VLAN is carried untagged, as native frames, on a given trunk port, or is set to zero for trunk ports that don't support native frame handling at all. An administrator sets this carefully because a native VLAN mismatch between two ends of a trunk is a classic cause of VLAN leakage or misdelivered traffic. For example, if one switch's trunk port has vlanTrunkPortNativeVlan set to VLAN 1 while the far end expects VLAN 99 as native, untagged traffic will land in the wrong VLAN on one side.
