This read-only object provides a unique, sequentially assigned index for each cross-connect that shares the same pair of logical interfaces, since more than one cross-connect can exist between the same Low/Hi interface pair. An administrator uses this index to distinguish between multiple cross-connects riding the same pair of logical interfaces, and can rely on the value staying constant for the life of that cross-connect. For example, if two separate cross-connects exist between the same pair of logical interfaces, this index is what lets the admin tell them apart in the VsiXCTable.
