This object reports, in milliseconds, the adaptive retransmission timeout the system is currently using for this VPDN session's control and keepalive exchanges. An administrator can watch it to see whether the tunnel's round-trip conditions are forcing the timeout upward, which would mean the path to the peer has become slower or less reliable. For example, an adaptive timeout that climbs from a baseline of a few hundred milliseconds to several seconds points to a degraded network path to the tunnel peer.
