What is cvAtmPeerCfgCoderRate?
This is a read-write setting that chooses the default speech coder (codec) rate used to compress voice for calls on this ATM peer. An admin tunes this to balance call quality against the bandwidth consumed on the ATM backbone, since higher-compression coders use less bandwidth but can reduce voice fidelity. For example, an admin might set a lower-bitrate coder on peers crossing a bandwidth-constrained ATM link to fit more simultaneous calls onto the circuit.
