Description: This object specifies the type of the VDC.
What is ciscoVdcType?
This read-write INTEGER specifies whether a VDC's type is admin, ethernet, or storage. An admin sets this to define the VDC's role, since a storage-type VDC is used for Fibre Channel/FCoE traffic while ethernet handles standard Layer 2/3 networking. Provisioning a new VDC as storage(3) tells the switch to configure it for the FCoE and fibre-channel feature set rather than general Ethernet forwarding.
