Description: This object indicates the router MAC address of the virtual device.
What is ciscoVdcMac?
This read-only MacAddress object reports the router MAC address assigned to a virtual device. Since each VDC behaves as its own independent switch for Layer 3 purposes, an admin uses this address to identify the VDC when tracing ARP entries or configuring upstream devices. If two VDCs on the same chassis show different router MAC addresses, that confirms they are being treated as genuinely separate Layer 3 devices on the network.
