Access: read-only

Description: The number of connections attempted since the last reboot of the firewall, corresponding to the protocol denoted by 'cufwPolAppConnProtocol', in the policy 'cufwPolAppConnPolicy' applied to the entity identified by 'cufwPolAppConnPolicyTarget'.

This value is accumulated from the last reboot of the firewall subject to the control exercised by cufwConnReptAppStats.

What is cufwPolAppConnNumAttempted?

This Counter64 counts connections attempted since the firewall's last reboot for the protocol/policy/target combination identified by cufwPolAppConnProtocol, cufwPolAppConnPolicy, and cufwPolAppConnPolicyTarget, with accumulation subject to the control exercised by cufwConnReptAppStats. It gives an admin the application-level attempt volume for one specific policy-target pairing, serving as the denominator for judging how significant its other application-layer counters are. If this row's value stays flat while cufwPolAppConnNumPolicyDeclined for the same row climbs, it would show an increasing share of that same steady traffic is being blocked.
