Description: The amount of memory occupied by all structures required to maintain the state of all embryonic connections.

What is cufwConnResEmbrConnMemoryUsage?

This gauge reports the memory, in KBytes, occupied by the structures tracking all embryonic connections -- those application-layer sessions whose signaling channel is up but whose data channel is still pending. An admin isolates this figure to see whether memory pressure on the firewall is coming specifically from stalled application-layer handshakes, such as VoIP call setups whose media channel never completes. For example, elevated embryonic connection memory usage combined with a growing cufwConnGlobalNumEmbryonic count would point the admin toward an application-inspection or NAT traversal problem rather than a generic capacity issue.
