Description: The value to be used as the Max Age in this TrCRF. The range for this parameter is 600 to 4000 and is related to the value of dtrSpanningTreeBridgeHelloTime. See 802.1D-1990 for the relationship between dot1dStpBridgeMaxAge and dot1dStpBridgeHelloTime. The granularity of this timer is specified to be 1/100 of a second. This agent will return a 'badValue' error if a set is attempted to a value which is not a whole number of seconds.

What is ciscoTsTrCRFInfoSpanningTreeBridgeMaxAge?

This read-write Timeout sets the Max Age for this TrCRF's spanning tree instance, valid from 600 to 4000 in units of 1/100 second (6 to 40 seconds), restricted to whole-second values, and explicitly related to the Hello Time setting per 802.1D-1990's defined relationship between the two. This is how long a bridge will keep using stored BPDU information before considering it stale and recalculating the tree, so setting it too low relative to Hello Time risks unnecessary topology recalculations from a single missed BPDU. The 20-second standard default balances fast stale-data detection against tolerance for occasional missed hellos.
