This read-only Counter reports how many of the stations learned on this port belong to the local Token Ring segment attached to that port, as distinct from ciscoTsPortStatsRemoteStations which counts stations belonging to another segment reached through this port. This split helps an admin understand whether a given port is primarily an access port for local devices or is carrying a mix of local and transit traffic. A dedicated access port would ideally show all its learned stations here and near-zero in RemoteStations.
