ciscoTsPortCfgDemandAgingLevel

Module: CISCO-TS-STACK-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-TS-STACK-MIB::ciscoTsPortCfgDemandAgingLevel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.32.4.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Threshold to demand age the port address table. All numbers refer to percentage of the address table. The only values accepted by the agent are 50,60,70,80,90 and 0. Setting the value to 0 disables demand aging.

What is ciscoTsPortCfgDemandAgingLevel?

This read-write INTEGER, restricted to 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 0 by the agent, sets the fill-percentage threshold at which this specific port's address table starts proactively aging out entries, with 0 disabling demand aging on that port. This is the per-port equivalent of ciscoTsStackSwitchAgingLevel, letting an admin apply more aggressive table pruning to a busy port without affecting quieter ports on the same switch. Setting this to 90 on a port serving mostly-static devices delays demand aging until the table is nearly full.
