Description: The set of ports to which this filter is applied. Each octet within the value of this object specifies a set of eight ports, with the first octet specifying ports 1 through 8, the second octet specifying ports 9 through 16, etc. Within each octet, the most significant bit represents the lowest numbered port, and the least significant bit represents the highest numbered port. Thus, each port of the switch is represented by a single bit within the value of this object. If that bit has a value of '1' then that port is included in the set of ports; the port is not included if its bit has a value of '0'.
What is ciscoTsMACDestFilterPorts?
This read-write OCTET STRING (4 bytes) is a bitmask specifying which ports this destination MAC filter applies to, the ports that get blocked from, restricted to, or forced toward the address named in ciscoTsMACDestFilterStationAddress, depending on the selected ciscoTsMACDestFilterType. An admin restricting a device's reachability to only two specific ports would set exactly those two bits here alongside allow-dest(2) as the filter type. Setting the wrong bits means the filter rule applies to the wrong physical ports, unblocking or blocking traffic on ports the admin didn't intend.
