ciscoTap2StreamDebug

Module: CISCO-TAP2-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-TAP2-MIB::ciscoTap2StreamDebug

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.399.0.4

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

When there is intervention needed due to some events related to entries configured in cTap2StreamTable, the device notifies the manager of the event.

This notification may be generated in conjunction with the intercept application, which is designed to expect the notification to be sent as reliably as possible, e.g., through the use of a finite number of retransmissions until acknowledged, as and when such mechanisms are available; for example, with SNMPv3, this would be an InformRequest.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CISCO-TAP2-MIB::ciscoTap2StreamDebug
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.399.0.4

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:58354->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (424470514) 49 days, 3:05:05.14
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CISCO-TAP2-MIB::ciscoTap2StreamDebug
