clogNotificationsEnabled
Module: CISCO-SYSLOG-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-SYSLOG-MIB::clogNotificationsEnabled
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.41.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description:
Indicates whether clogMessageGenerated notifications will or will not be sent when a syslog message is generated by the device. Disabling notifications does not prevent syslog messages from being added to the clogHistoryTable.
What is clogNotificationsEnabled?
This OID controls whether SNMP alerts are sent when the device generates syslog messages. The messages still get logged locally even if alerts are disabled. An administrator would disable this in noisy environments to reduce SNMP traffic while keeping local logs, or enable it to push critical events to a central manager.
