Access: read-only

Description: The counter associated with the interval number of bad packets, received from the Layer 1 Physical medium in a particular 15-minute interval in the past 24 hours.

What is srpRingIntRxErrorsSideBadPackets?

This 64-bit counter tallies an SRP-specific framing anomaly seen on frames from the ring fiber: an empty packet carrying a valid Start-Of-Packet signal that still ends up producing an incorrect CRC, over one specific completed 15-minute bucket from the rolling 24-hour history. This is a fairly specific low-level ring-signaling glitch rather than a generic corruption event, so it points more toward an SRP framer/ASIC issue on this or a neighboring ring node than toward ordinary cabling noise. A steady low background rate of a handful of these per interval on an otherwise healthy ring can often be tolerated, but a sudden order-of-magnitude jump would warrant checking the ring's framer hardware on this or an adjacent node.
