Description: The current IPS mode as automatically detected by the the local node that can affect the srpMACIpsActiveMode state of the SRP node, according to the set of rules describing IPS protocol. This variable value is one from the following subset (SignalFail, SignalDegrade, WaitToRestore).

What is srpMACIpsAutoDetectMode?

This object is the IPS mode automatically detected by this node based on real signal conditions, such as SignalFail, SignalDegrade, or WaitToRestore. Unlike the management-requested mode, which reflects operator intent, this reflects what the hardware itself is actually seeing on the fiber right now, so a mismatch between an admin's requested mode and this auto-detected mode reveals whether a wrap is happening because of a real physical problem or purely because of a manual override. This showing SignalDegrade while srpMACIpsMgmtRequestedMode shows noRequest confirms the node wrapped because of a genuine, automatically-detected optical signal problem, not a manual action.
