Description: Indicates the length of time in seconds, to remain in the wrap state, after the cause of a wrap is removed. This mechanism prevents protection switch oscillations. Default value is 60 sec.

What is srpIpsWaitToRestoreTimer?

This object is how long, in seconds, this node stays wrapped after the fault that caused the wrap is removed, to prevent switch oscillation, defaulting to 60 seconds. This is the debounce timer preventing a marginal, intermittent fault, such as a fiber connector with a loose contact, from causing the ring to rapidly wrap, unwrap, and wrap again repeatedly, which would be far more disruptive than staying wrapped slightly longer than strictly necessary. Increasing this from the default 60 seconds to, say, 300 seconds on a ring segment known to have an intermittently flaky fiber run would prevent that segment's marginal fault from causing repeated wrap oscillations.
