Description: The number of previous 15-minute measurement intervals for which data was collected. A SRP interface must be capable of supporting at least n intervals. The minimum value of n is 4. The default of n is 32. The maximum value of n is 96. The value will be unless the measurement was (re-)started within the last (*15) minutes, in which case the value will be the number of complete 15 minute intervals for which the agent has at least some data. In certain cases (e.g., in the case where the agent is a proxy) it is possible that some intervals are unavailable. In this case, this interval is the maximum interval number for which data is available.

What is srpIfValidIntervals?

This object is the number of previous complete 15-minute measurement intervals for which this interface has collected data, up to a configured maximum, default 32, up to a hard limit of 96. This tells the admin how much historical performance-interval data is actually available to look back through for this specific interface; right after an interface's monitoring is (re-)started, this will be low even if the interface itself has been up much longer. An interface that has been up for days but shows srpIfValidIntervals of only 2 indicates the performance- monitoring counters themselves were reset or restarted recently, so historical interval data before that point is not available.
