Seeing this specific anomaly generated locally rather than arriving from the ring points at this box's own SRP interface hardware or driver as the source, which is a materially different repair path than chasing it on the ring fiber. If this counter increments while the ring-side srpRingCurRxErrorsSideBadPackets stays at zero, that isolates the anomaly to this router's own interface card rather than to the ring media.
