Module: CISCO-REMOTE-ACCESS-MONITOR-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-REMOTE-ACCESS-MONITOR-MIB::crasGlobalInOctets

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of octets received by all currently and previously active remote access sessions. This value is accumulated BEFORE determining whether or not the packet should be decompressed.

What is crasGlobalInOctets?

This 64-bit counter tracks the cumulative bytes received across all remote-access sessions, and per the description this specific value is measured on the wire before any decompression is applied, meaning it reflects actual network bandwidth consumed rather than the effective, larger, amount of data delivered after decompression. It matters for accurately assessing actual link and bandwidth utilization by remote-access traffic, as opposed to the useful-data-delivered figure captured separately by crasGlobalInDecompOctets. An admin trying to understand how much real network capacity remote-access sessions are consuming, versus how much data those sessions are effectively delivering to users, needs to look at this pre-decompression figure specifically for the former.
