crasFailTableSize
Module: CISCO-REMOTE-ACCESS-MONITOR-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-REMOTE-ACCESS-MONITOR-MIB::crasFailTableSize
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.4.2.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-write
Description: The window size of the Remote Access Failure tables.
The failure tables for session and group failures maintain only the last crasFailTableSize number of failure records. A value of 0 for this MIB variable indicates that archiving of the failures is disabled.
An implementation may choose suitable minimum and maximum values for this element based on the local policy and available resources. If an SNMP SET request specifies a value outside this window for this element, a BAD VALUE may be returned.
What is crasFailTableSize?
This read-write object configures how many recent failure records the device retains in its session- and group-failure history tables, with a value of 0 explicitly disabling failure archiving altogether according to the desc. An admin who wants to keep enough forensic history to investigate an authentication attack, but not so much that it consumes excessive memory, tunes this value to balance retention depth against resource use. Setting this to 500, for instance, means only the 500 most recent failure records are kept, with older ones aged out as new failures occur.
