cospfShamLinkNbrStateChange
Module: CISCO-OSPF-TRAP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-OSPF-TRAP-MIB::cospfShamLinkNbrStateChange
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.101.0.9
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: A cospfShamLinkNbrStateChange trap signifies that there has been a change in the state of a sham link OSPF neighbor. This trap should be generated when the neighbor state regresses (e.g., goes from Attempt or Full to 1-Way or Down) or progresses to a terminal state (e.g., Full).
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CISCO-OSPF-TRAP-MIB::cospfShamLinkNbrStateChange snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.101.0.9
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:59850->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (394503626) 45 days, 15:50:36.26 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CISCO-OSPF-TRAP-MIB::cospfShamLinkNbrStateChange
