Description: This notification is generated by the Name Server when a new entry gets added to the Name Server database.

What is fcNameServerEntryAdd?

This notification is sent by the Fibre Channel Name Server whenever a new device entry is registered in its database. The notification includes the device's port name and port type to identify which entity was added. Storage network administrators monitor this trap to track device registration events and ensure proper fabric topology discovery.
