Description: If the cnpdTopNConfigStatsSelect is bitRateIn, bitRateOut or bitRateSum, then this value is the interval in seconds that the bitrate is sampled.

This has no effect if the cnpdTopNConfigStatsSelect is byte or packet based.

When this object is modified by the management station, a new sample period is started regardless of whether the original cnpdTopNConfigSampleTime was finished.

What is cnpdTopNConfigSampleTime?

This object sets the sampling window, in seconds, over which the device measures bit rate when the Top-N table is configured to rank by a bitrate-based statistic; changing it has no effect if ranking by byte or packet counts instead. Because modifying this value immediately restarts a fresh sample period, an admin adjusting it mid-monitoring should expect a brief gap before fresh, accurate Top-N results are available again. Setting this to 60 would have the device average bit rate over rolling 60-second windows rather than, say, a noisier 5-second sample that could be skewed by a brief traffic burst.
