cieTestConnCryptoMapName
Module: CISCO-IP-ENCRYPTION-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-IP-ENCRYPTION-MIB::cieTestConnCryptoMapName
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.52.1.4.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-write
Description: Specifies name of the crypto map already configured on the router. A crypto map along with its tag number fully specifies the enryption policy, such as type of algorithm to be used, the name of the peer router and access list.
What is cieTestConnCryptoMapName?
This read-write string specifies the name of an existing crypto map on this router to use for a test encrypted connection, per its description, where the crypto map itself defines the encryption algorithm, peer address, and access list for the policy being tested. It lets an admin validate a specific already-configured IPsec policy end-to-end without building a new one just for testing. Setting this to 'ftpPolicy' before initiating the test would exercise exactly the same crypto map that production FTP traffic uses, surfacing any real-world negotiation problem with that policy.
