cVrrpStatisticsDiscontinuityTime
Module: CISCO-IETF-VRRP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-IETF-VRRP-MIB::cVrrpStatisticsDiscontinuityTime
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.999.2.5.1.12
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TimeStamp
Access: read-only
Description: The value of sysUpTime on the most recent occasion at which any one or more of this entry's counters suffered a discontinuity.
If no such discontinuities have occurred since the last re-initialization of the local management subsystem, then this object contains a zero value.
What is cVrrpStatisticsDiscontinuityTime?
This records the sysUpTime at the most recent moment any of this virtual router's statistics counters, like cVrrpStatisticsBecomeMaster or the various error counters, experienced a discontinuity, typically from a reload or counter reset, reading zero if none has occurred since the management subsystem last initialized. Every one of the VRRP statistics counters in this MIB should be interpreted relative to this timestamp, since a sudden drop to zero in an error counter looks identical whether caused by a genuine resolved problem or simply a device reload resetting the counter. Cross-checking this against the router's actual reload history is the standard way to distinguish 'the problem got fixed' from 'the counter got reset' when a previously-climbing error counter suddenly reads low again.
