What is cVrrpNotificationCntl?

This is a global on/off switch controlling whether this device emits any of the VRRP-related SNMP notifications defined in this MIB module at all, such as state-change and error traps, rather than requiring per-object enable settings. It's the master switch to check first if VRRP-related traps seem to be entirely missing from a NOC's trap receiver despite VRRP clearly being active and even flapping on the device. If this is set to disabled(2), no VRRP trap will ever reach the management station regardless of how many virtual routers change state, so operators would have to rely entirely on polling cVrrpOperationsState.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.999.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-IETF-VRRP-MIB::cVrrpNotificationCntl

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.999.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-IETF-VRRP-MIB::cVrrpNotificationCntl.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.999.1.2.1 i <value>
