It is the wide-metric counterpart to ciiSummAddrMetric, needed because modern IS-IS deployments using wide metrics for traffic engineering must set a wide-format cost for the same summarized route or the summary will not correctly interoperate with routers doing wide-metric path computation. For example, on a network that has migrated to wide metrics for MPLS-TE, leaving only the narrow ciiSummAddrMetric set while ignoring this object could leave TE-aware routers unable to properly cost the summarized route in their constrained SPF calculations.
