Description: The type of Reachable address. Those of type manual are created by the network manager. Those of type automatic are created through propagation of routing information from another routing protocol (eg. IDRP).

What is ciiRAType?

This is the type of Reachable Address: manual entries are created by the network manager, while automatic entries are created through propagation of routing information from another routing protocol such as IDRP. This field distinguishes whether a reachability entry was hand-configured versus injected automatically by redistribution, a distinction that matters because manually editing or deleting what turns out to be an automatic entry risks having it silently regenerated the next time the source protocol re-advertises that route. For example, an admin trying to permanently remove a route that keeps reappearing should check this field first -- if it reads automatic, the fix is to stop redistributing that route at its source rather than repeatedly deleting the resulting entry here.
