This is the SNPA address of the neighboring system. On Ethernet this is effectively the neighbor's MAC address, and it is the field an admin cross-references against a switch's MAC address table when trying to physically locate exactly which port or device the adjacency is really terminating on. For example, on a shared LAN segment with multiple IS-IS neighbors, comparing each adjacency's ciiISAdjNeighSNPAAddress against a switch's MAC table quickly maps each logical IS-IS neighbor back to a specific physical switch port.
