This is the type for a malformed TLV. This notification-only object identifies specifically which TLV type was found malformed when a parsing-error trap fires, letting the admin immediately know, for example, that it was an extended-reachability TLV rather than a protocols-supported TLV, without walking the raw PDU bytes to figure out which TLV was the culprit. For example, a malformed-PDU trap carrying this object with value 135 would tell the admin the problem was specifically in an extended IP reachability TLV, immediately narrowing the investigation to that feature area.
