cmplsFrrProtected

Module: CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB::cmplsFrrProtected

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.98.0.1

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This notification is generated when a tunnel running over an interface as specified in the mplsFrrConstTable is initially protected by the backup tunnel also specified in the cmplsFrrConstTable. This notification should not be generated for each subsequent tunnel that is backed up by the FRR feature on this LSR, as this may result in potential scaling issues with regard to LSR performance and network loading. Note also that notifications MUST be generated in accordance with the cmplsFrrNotifMaxRate.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB::cmplsFrrProtected
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.98.0.1

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:49858->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (391773890) 45 days, 8:15:38.90
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB::cmplsFrrProtected

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB::cmplsFrrProtected
