OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.98.1.11

Description: Enables or disables FRR notifications defined in this MIB module. Notifications are disabled by default.

What is cmplsFrrNotifsEnabled?

This enables or disables the FRR notifications defined in this MIB module, and they are disabled by default. Leaving it at that default means the device will not send SNMP traps when fast-reroute events occur, so a monitoring system relying purely on trap-driven alerting for FRR events will see nothing even while the FRR log table itself keeps filling up in the background. For example, setting cmplsFrrNotifsEnabled to true on a core PLR lets the NMS receive a trap the instant traffic switches to a detour LSP, instead of the admin discovering the failover only when later polling cmplsFrrSwitchover.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB::cmplsFrrNotifsEnabled

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.98.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-IETF-FRR-MIB::cmplsFrrNotifsEnabled.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.98.1.11.1 s <value>
