cermResUserResGroupId
Module: CISCO-ERM-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-ERM-MIB::cermResUserResGroupId
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.510.1.2.5.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CermGroupId
Access: read-only
Description: This object indicates the resource group in which the resource user is present. If the resource user does not belong to any resource group, then the value of this object will be zero. Otherwise, this object will contain value of the object cermResGroupId corresponding to the resource group entry in the cermResGroupTable.
What is cermResUserResGroupId?
This identifies which resource group, if any, this resource user has been placed into, containing zero if the user does not belong to any group and otherwise matching a cermResGroupId in the cermResGroupTable. Grouping resource users matters because ERM can then apply and monitor thresholds against the combined usage of the whole group rather than only against individual processes, useful when several related processes collectively consume a resource pool. If several BGP-related processes are all placed into a resource group with ID 4, this field on each of those processes would read 4, letting an admin monitor their combined memory footprint as one unit rather than five separate small numbers.
