Description: This object indicates the dampening interval for the falling threshold for the threshold configuration. That means, an interval during which variations in the rising and falling threshold values are not notified to the resource user(s).
If the dampening interval for the falling threshold is not configured, it will contain zero.
What is cermPolicyFallingInterval?
This is the dampening interval applied to the falling threshold in this policy entry, defaulting to zero if left unconfigured, meaning by default any brief dip below the falling threshold is immediately reported as cleared with no waiting period. Configuring a non-zero interval here prevents a resource pool that dips below its falling threshold for only a moment before climbing right back up from generating a premature all-clear notification. With this interval left at zero, a CPU utilization reading that ticks below the falling threshold for a single polling cycle before spiking again would still generate a down notification, potentially followed immediately by another up notification.
